Anna Brook
Anna is a Breathwork Coach, Senior Yoga Teacher, Women’s Circle Facilitator, founder of Shala Women and writes for Om Yoga magazine.
She is passionate about the transformative power of Breathwork as a tool to heal deep stored tensions, stress and trauma and to experience expansion, joy and purpose.
Ash Mukherjee
Ash’s career spans television, theatre and film, critically acclaimed south Asian dancer and choreographer.
He creates work that actively engages with the role that the arts play in mental health wellness.
Bernadette Lax
Bernadette learnt to meditate in the 1980s with Ananda Marga – Path of Bliss. This was a devotional path with a practice based on mantras, asanas and kirtan.
She currently runs regular meditation classes in Whitstable.
Bernie Barry
Bernie is an experienced Yoga Teacher and Therapist.
Her gentle, chair based practice will be calming and restorative.
Caroline Garland
Caroline Garland has been a fully certified children’s and adults yoga teacher and trainer in Kent for over 15 years.
Born in Belfast, she moved to Kent 28 years ago and loves living by the sea and enjoying nature walks with her two dogs.
Cass Xuxin
Cass started her yoga journey over 20 years ago. Her unquenchable curiosity, with passion and compassion, creates a holistic wellness haven for all.
Her speaking and singing voice, in both English and Mandarin Chinese, forms the essence of her teaching.
Charlotte Donnachie
Charlotte is an Astrologer, Sound Therapist and Ecstatic Dance facilitator.
She has been immersed in these harmonic practices since 2018 and offers each modality as a way to access the curiosity of living whilst finding mental, emotional, physical and spiritual balance and embodiment.
Chloe Tully
Chloe has been teaching since early 2016, with vinyasa flow, restorative Yoga and Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery all part of her repertoire.
She integrates somatics, self-led, intuitive movement, nervous system healing, pranayama, and guided relaxation practices.
Esa Evans
Esa has always loved to move, but a health scare then turned her life around.
This ignited a passion for fitness, which turned into a career when she retrained as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.
She has developed an holistic approach to improving your physical fitness, with modifications and progressions for a safe, inclusive experience.
Emma Epton
Emma has more than 25 years experience, teaching Yin and functional yoga. She facilitates a 200 hour yoga teacher training and 50 hour Yin yoga teacher training, and runs further education programs with her company Yoga Reloaded.
She is also an Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist, a Buteyko instructor and Psychedelic Breath® teacher.
Ezgi Korkanc-Acar
Ez has been practising Yoga since 2010.
She qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2017, and in 2020 travelled to India to complete a 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Programme.
She teaches Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, incorporating breath and meditation.
Hannah Stewart
Hannah has been practicing yoga for 15 years, and is excited to be part of and witness the evolution of the way yoga is being taught.
She follows developments in Science and biomechanics to understand what better serves the modern human.
She’s fascinated with many movement and brain-based practices and the function of the nervous system.
Hazel of the Grove
Shamanic Practice has been Hazel’s path for more than 40 years.
She considers it a pleasure to be working in community with Shakti Den, and offering authentic Shamanic Healing Therapies and practices at the studio and for Amrita Festival.
Isabelle Brand
Isabell started practising Yoga in Munich in the 90s, training in India, at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai.
She has been a Rolfer/Structural Integration Practitioner since 2000 and is now training in Somatic Experiencing. Her classes focus on awareness, breath, and deepening our experience and felt sense of our body.
Jess Croucher
Jess completed her Ashtanga teacher training programme in 2005, her British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course in 2007, and Children’s yoga in 2017.
Jess has also trained in Antigravity Fitness in 2019, Cocooning, Aerial yoga and Aerial Restorative yoga.
Jess also teaches Teen and Family yoga sessions combining them with Aerial play.
Joanna Janika
Joanna discovered Pilates while recovering from a sports injury. Amazed by the physical benefits and improved sense of well-being, she qualified with Level 3 mat work in 2011.
Joanna runs a small reformer based studio in Whitstable and teaches mat-based classes locally.
Joanna Labon
These days, we sit too much and think too much. It’s good to get moving. My training is inspired by the evolving Hatha Yoga tradition of Vanda Scaravelli (1908-1999) and I love teaching yoga and seeing the benefits it can bring.
Everything connects and we can find great freedom for the body and mind. I hope to bring this vitality to class.
Jo Lilley
Jo has always held a passion for movement and the benefits it brings to the mind, body and soul. This led her to yoga and in 2013 she qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga.
She is also certified as a specialist teacher to teach Yoga for Stress, Burnout and Fatigue; using yoga to offer ways to quieten over-active and fatigued body systems.
Kim Hill
Kim has been teaching yoga since 2012 and runs The Nature Sessions, offering adventures in nature.
Her empowering classes combine yoga, dance and movement, set to a great soundtrack to help you shake off your tensions and get out of your overthinking mind.
It’s never about what it looks like, but how it feels in the body.
Kristin Fredricksson
Kristin practised yoga for a decade before training as a Feldenkrais Method Practitioner in the noughties.
She sees Feldenkrais as the underbelly of all movement practices, addressing fundamental movement habits and patterns, and breaking down barriers about perceived limitations.
Liz Foreman
Liz has been teaching yoga for 18 years; pregnancy, postnatal, and Hatha based yoga, with the breath being the essence of her teaching.
She aims to help students deepen their understanding of their body and listen to their body’s needs, celebrating what we can do and sitting comfortably with what we find difficult.
Lou Marie
Lou has trained in Vinyasa, Hatha & Yin at Orión Healing Centre in Koh Phangan, Thailand, and as a sound and energy healer.
She now runs Luna Sol Amor, a sanctuary for those seeking support, guidance, and inner nourishment. Through a unique blend of sound, energy healing, and personal experiences, Lou offers a profound and nurturing space for healing.
Lucy Clarke
Lucy discovered yoga in her early twenties, just before she developed a chronic pain condition that she’s lived with since.
For nearly three decades, yoga, mindful breath and the deep rest afforded by these practices have provided the grounding for her to live well.
She trained to teach yoga during the pandemic and has found happiness in the teaching of resourcing, restful practices.
Melody Old
Melody has been empowering people to free themselves from chronic pain, habituated postures and emotional trauma since 2010, through Somatic Movement Education.
This gentle and relaxing slow mindful movement practise creates calm within your mind, and freedom of movement and flexibility within your body.
Somatics is a non-manipulative, neuromuscular re-education, with our central nervous system.
Naomy Raven
Naomy has been working with sound healing for over 20 years, offering experiential workshops around the country.
She offers one to one sessions and a variety of regular groups including Sound baths and Gong Baths, Chanting, Drumming, Voice Therapy and Medicine Songs.
She sees how this work is deeply relaxing and enjoyable for people, as well as powerfully transformative.
Monica Marini
Monica is the brains and energy behind Amrita Festival.
When she found Yoga, it provided a thrilling physical experience that was challenging and rewarding, and accompanied her as she travelled and worked abroad.
She has never stopped learning, studying with inspiring teachers from around the world.
But her favourite teachers are her students. Through them, her reasons to learn remain strong.
Nadean Foster
Nadean’s journey has been to rediscover what it means to be native to place, and reconnect to the land and to ourselves and to each other.
After spending some time exploring healing practices, she is inspired by practices of our ancestors and the wisdom of the trees.
Her ceremonies explore these themes of connection and will leave you feeling rooted and grounded.
Natasha Fehnle
Natasha is one of the festival organisers. Her yoga journey began following an injury and a chance connection with Yoga Reloaded’s Hannah Stewart.
More than ten years on, she runs Tadasana Rooms, a studio and therapy rooms dedicated to community, wellbeing and holistic practices.
Her classes are fun, exploratory, and keep functional movement, breath and foot health at their core.
Paul Elliot
Paul’s journey has been an attempt to understand the reason we humans act and behave the way we do, often against our own self interests.
Along the way Paul has delivered talks on Fear, Men, Christmas, Art and Social Media to name but a few.
He is joined by guitarist Stephen Russell to add musical flair. Expect entertaining visuals and thoughtful discussion.
Paul Roberts
For over 25 years, Paul has been exploring the world of Yoga and Tai Chi.
His teaching style is all about inclusion and diversity, mixing Tai Chi with Qigong, and even some yoga and calisthenics to keep things interesting and effective.
Paul believes Tai Chi is for everyone, and is an enthusiastic advocate of this inclusive approach.
Peter Brennan
For 50 years, Peter has sought to clarify the spiritual significance of great poetry, as well as addressing the inner meaning of scripture.
He believes these texts offer remarkable insights to those seeking to develop their inner life and discover purpose and meaning.
As the American poet William Carlos Williams observed, ‘It is difficult to get the news from poems, yet men die miserably every day for lack of what is found there.’
Peter Coyte, Sophie Sirota and guests
Peter, Sophie and guests create a sonic, meditative immersion using electronic music, viola, singing bowls and gongs with live visuals.
Sound has been used for meditation and healing for thousands of years. These unique sound baths mix traditional methods with acoustic and electronic music alongside live visuals to transform the space completely.
Rossella Buono
Rossella experienced movement difficulties when she broke the ligaments in her knee in 2004.
Over time, combining Alexander Technique and Yoga, she developed the ability the help herself and others, and her hypermobility and joint pain issues have been greatly reduced.
She brings a thoughtful approach to yoga instruction with anatomy, awareness, poise, and self-direction.
Rowan Finnegan
Rowan is an experienced and dedicated yoga instructor with extensive training in Yin and Vinyasa Yoga.
His passion for yoga stems from a personal journey for strength, flexibility and peace of mind.
He brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to his yoga classes.
Sarah Jane Rawkins
A level 3 Iyengar Yoga teacher, Sarah Jane continues to study anatomy and philosophy courses.
She believes that alignment of the physical body and correct technique can bring inner stability and stillness.
Her intention is to help the mind feel calm, and the body feel light and active, creating freedom in both.
Simone Stolton
Simone’s journey has been a long one! She’s a British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) and British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Teacher.
She now teaches Qigong and Mindfulness, having trained with White Tiger Qigong and explored the practice with many other teachers.
Simone facilitates a space that allows for a deeper connection to mind, body and spirit.
Sunni Briony
Sunni first found Yoga as a teenager, while seeking something to help improve her own mental wellbeing, and she fell in love with the practice.
She is a qualified 200 hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and is a certified Crystal Healer.
Sunni has over a decade of personal practice experience and has been leading weekly group classes and 1:1’s since 2022.
Sharon Saker
Sharon has had a lifelong journey exploring holistic health and wellness, including courses in tai chi, massage, trigger point and polarity therapy.
She has developed her own ABC (Alignment, Breath, Controlled) Yoga and holds qualifications in Pre Natal, Osteoporosis and Rehabilitation
Sharon enjoys teaching, holding workshops and mini retreats.
Wendy Kettle
Wendy trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2003 and as a Yoga Therapist in 2008.
She is also as a Personal Development Coach, with a special interest in Stress.
During the pandemic, she qualified in Traditional Yoga Nidra Meditation and iRest.
She now combines Yoga Nidra with her Coaching to help people find their purpose and remove blocks.
Yvonne Fuchs
Yvonne is a therapeutic somatic coach working with the tamalpa life art process .
She has more than 30 years experience in coaching, and has now brought this experience into the body work and expressive arts fields.
